See the World Through Their Lens: 2025 Women in Photography Exhibit
Women in Visual Art (WIVA) presents the second annual Women in Photography exhibit celebrating Women’s History Month this March. This extraordinary exhibit showcasing the diverse talents and perspectives of talented local women photographers will take place from March 1st to 29th, 2025 at the Lake Travis Community Library. Featuring stunning portraits and photographs celebrating women’s history, issues, and rights, this exhibit is free and open to the public. We invite you to explore themes of voting, equality, health, beauty, motherhood, and more through the powerful lens of photography.
Photography has a long history of storytelling and social commentary. Women photographers have used this medium to document the experiences of women and girls globally, challenge stereotypes, and advocate for equality. This exhibit recognizes the significant, yet often underrepresented, contributions of women to the field of photography.
“Women in Photography” offers a chance to appreciate the beauty and power of their work, highlighting the unique perspectives they bring to the art form. The exhibit will feature a variety of photographic styles and genres, including portraiture, landscape, documentary, and abstract photography, from both established and emerging artists.
Join us for the photographer reception on March 8th, 2025, from 1:30-3:00 PM at the Lake Travis Community Library. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
