“Pages to Pixels” Exhibit Opening: A Celebration of Photography and Literature
Come explore the intersection of literature and photography at the “Pages to Pixels” exhibit! The Lakeway Photography Club is proud to announce the grand opening on August 2nd at the Lake Travis Community Library from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Photographers were challenged to use their cameras to bring their favorite books and authors to life. The results are nothing short of spectacular. We received an incredible collection of photographs, each one a unique visual interpretation of a literary work. Women in Visual Art (WIVA) presents the second annual Women in Photography exhibit celebrating Women’s History Month this March. This extraordinary exhibit showcasing the diverse talents and perspectives of talented local women photographers will take place from March 1st to 29th, 2025 at the Lake Travis Community Library. Featuring stunning portraits and photographs celebrating women’s history, issues, and rights, this exhibit is free and open to the public. 2024 Lakeway Photo Festival Announces Winners!
The City of Lakeway Arts Committee announced the winning photos for the 2024 Lakeway Photo Festival on September 22, 2024 at the Lakeway Activity Center. There were 180 beautiful digital photographs entered from 60 talented local photographers – the highest numbers ever! The 12 categories this year were Abstract, Architecture, Birds, Community, Deer, Drone/Aerial, Greenscapes, Macro/Close-up, Pets, Skyscapes, Waterscapes and Wildlife.
